A 3-day Qi Gong retreat

In this workshop we will work in a direct and practical way investigating the Five Spirits as one multi-petalled flower, and also as five individual sets of psycho-spiritual frequencies.

Five Phases - Five Spirits

Over the years I have discovered to my delight that the ancient Chinese have not only mapped the external world in detail, using these wonderful tools, but have also done the same work regarding our inner world. The five phases extend well into the spiritual life of the human and provide a highly nuanced method for mapping the different levels of our psyche – the five spirits.

The Five Shen - A Remarkable Explanatory Model

We will explore with the help of a wonderful set of resources:

  • The Five Spirit points on the outer Bladder meridian on the back
  • Qigong - harmonising the five elements, extrapolated to the five spirits
  • Asana sequence, designed specifically to benefit each of the five spirits individually
  • Chinese calligraphy, where the concepts are clearly described through concise imagery
